David Chow, HRL Laboratories

Dr. David Chow is the Chief Scientific Officer at HRL Laboratories, LLC. He received his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from the California Institute of Technology in 1989. Dr. Chow joined HRL Laboratories in 1990 as a Research Staff Member, working in the area of arsenide/antimonide heterostructure materials and devices for infrared optoelectronics and high-speed electronics. He has authored or co-authored more than 200 technical papers and holds more than 30 patents. Dr. Chow served as the Director of the Microelectronics Laboratory at HRL from 2005 to 2017. During that time, the Microelectronics Laboratory developed state-of-the-art GaN MMIC and power transistor technologies, heterogeneous integration technologies, mixed-signal integrated circuits, and millimeter-wave subsystems.
